In a statement posted on social media earlier this month, the 23-year-old Manchester United winger refuted all charges.
According to the PA news agency, Antony has traveled back to the UK from Brazil and will meet with Greater Manchester Police to be questioned about abuse claims made against him.
The 23-year-old, who transferred from Ajax to Manchester United last summer, has been away from the Premier League team since September 10.
Speaking to Brazilian publication UOL earlier this month, former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin revealed that Antony is the subject of numerous allegations of physical assault.
These accusations, as well as additional assault claims made by Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana, have all been refuted by the winger.
“I want to reiterate my innocence of the things I have been accused of, and I will fully cooperate with the police to help them find the truth,” Antony stated in a statement on September 10.
The winger has been in Brazil since the beginning of September, but was forced to leave the team as the charges came to light.
After helping with Brazilian police investigations, Antony returned to England on Tuesday. He will now meet with GMP. He is still on leave, and it is believed that he will give the police his phone so they may examine it.
Although the athlete voluntarily gave a police interview in June, he has not been detained or charged.
