Leeds United will be satisfied with their first season back in the Championship following relegation last season.
Leeds are fifth in the table with 19 points from 11 games after a turbulent summer transfer window, with their recent run of success propelling them into the top six.
Despite that solid point total, Leeds are still a long way from the automatic promotion places, thanks to unprecedented starts from both Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
Leicester, who were promoted from League One in May, are already on 30 points, while Ipswich are only two points further down.
Leif Davis, a player Leeds sold for just over £1 million in the summer of 2022, has been instrumental in Ipswich’s amazing start.

Davis spent the season before to his permanent Leeds departure on loan at Bournemouth, where Scott Parker praised him as ‘outstanding,’ albeit that wasn’t reflected in his game time.
Davis, on the other hand, provided 14 assists in 44 matches during Ipswich’s League One promotion campaign in 2022/23, the most of any player in the division.
There are always doubts about a player’s ability to reproduce that in a higher league, but Davis has gone from strength to strength in the Championship.
Davis is once again at the top of the league assist charts, with six already from 10 games, an incredible amount for a full-back.
While Leeds appear to have handled their current left-back problem with the arrival of Sam Byram, there must be some remorse at selling Davis for so little given how brilliantly he has performed.
