As they host Dougie Imrie’s team, the Diamonds are still five points behind.

Adam Frizzell, the captain of Airdrie, acknowledges that their Championship survival game against Morton at home on Saturday is crucial.

Additionally, Frizzell believes that two vital choices kept them from defeating Raith Rovers on Saturday.

With three games remaining, the Diamonds were five points behind second-bottom Queen’s Park after Saturday’s 1-1 draw in Kirkcaldy. Morton, currently in sixth place, is coming to New Broomfield.

Frizzell acknowledged that Airdrie’s time is running out, saying, “It doesn’t get any easier.” What you get from Morton is that, although it’s never an easy game, we feel like we can win—and, to be honest, we must.

“We need to win this game and most likely all three on Saturday; it’s do-or-die.”

“There’s no sugarcoating the fact that we’re running out of games, so it’s up to us, but I think we’re very capable of doing that.”

Despite having a difficult season due to injuries, Airdrie has suddenly found success, which gives them hope.

“Even in games where we have lost in the past few months, we have been playing really well,” Frizzell stated. “I think the form in general has been very good.”

“We’ve managed to reassemble a stable team, but it’s just a matter of how late it is.

“It has been a hellish season for us, in terms of injuries. I’ve never seen anything like it, and hopefully won’t again.
