In a thrilling Sky Bet League Two match at Valley Parade, Bradford City and Notts County drew 1-1, frustrating both teams’ hopes of promotion.

Brandon Khela’s free kick in the 53rd minute was headed by Ciaran Kelly to give the Bantams the lead, but David McGoldrick’s incredible goal in the 70th minute, which curled into the top corner after cutting inside, gave County a point.

Both teams had chances in the first half, with Antoni Sarcevic coming close and Alex Pattison blazing over for Bradford. McGoldrick also forced Sam Walker to act with a long-range effort.

As the home team applied pressure, Sam Slocombe stopped Bobby Pointon, and Neill Byrne came close to scoring from a corner.

Late in the game, McGoldrick came very close to winning, but Walker held his left-footed try to guarantee that the points were split.
