Breaking; Celtic Boss Rodgers has Replace Brilliant winger…..

The brilliant winger will spend the season on loan, the head coach of the Hoops determined.

Celtic experienced a summer of transition during the transfer window as they parted ways with their manager and added a number of new players to the roster.

The majority shareholder Dermot Desmond reacted to Ange Postecoglou’s poaching by Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur by making a move for Brendan Rodgers, who is currently in his second stint at Parkhead.

The departure of top forward Jota to Saudi Pro League team Al Ittihad for an estimated £25 million and the retirement of central midfielder Aaron Mooy also hurt the Hoops.

As a result of the board’s support, Rodgers was able to sign nine players, including Marco Tilio, Odin Thiago Holm, Maik Nawrocki, Paulo Bernardo, Nat Phillips, Gustaf Lagerbielke, Maik Nawrocki, Paulo Bernardo, Luis Palma, Hyun-jun Yang, and Hyeok-kyu Kwon.

Prior to the 2023–24 season, the head coach of the Northern Irish also approved a number of loan and permanent exits from Paradise.

He may already be second-guessing his selection of Sead Haksabanovic, a Montenegrin international who has been on fire for Stoke City in the Championship and would have been a stronger wide receiver option than Yang.

The purpose of Haksabanovic’s lending out.
According to Football Insider, the gifted forward lobbied for his loan transfer to the Potters because of his lack of playing time at the beginning of the season.

According to the publication, the player believed the Hoops were sending him conflicting messages when they assured him he would be an important member of the team but did not reflect it in his playing time.

At the beginning of the current season, he made two substitute appearances and played 45 minutes total in the Scottish Premiership and League Cup. He then made the decision that it was time for him to move on.

What did Celtic spend to acquire Haksabanovic?
Prior to the 2022–23 season, the Bhoys reportedly spent out £1.75 million to acquire the former West Ham prospect from Rubin Kazan for Ange Postecoglou.

Over the course of the season, he was unable to secure a consistent spot in the starting XI. Only eight of the Premiership games Haksabanovic started for the Australian head coach saw him come off the bench in another 18.

Despite spending only a short amount of time on the field, the 24-year-old gem was still able to demonstrate his attacking prowess by scoring five goals and creating six “big chances” from wide positions, with zero “big chances” lost, according to Sofascore.

In addition, he participated in three League Cup games for the Hoops as they won the domestic treble while making two assists in five SFA Cup appearances.

Rodgers failed to give him the opportunity to prove his quality with more playing time, despite the fact that Postecoglou gave him a few minutes to do so. As a result, he moved on loan to Stoke before the end of the summer transfer window.

How many opportunities has Haksabanovic given Stoke?
The 5 foot 9 ace, who was once referred to as a “little diamond” by previous boss Jan Jonsson, has had a great start to life with the Potters, having already produced eight chances in four Championship games.

Since his temporary transfer from the Hoops, he has made an immediate impact in England, scoring one goal and providing one assist in three league games for Alex Neil’s team.

The former Malaga loanee’s excellent success rate of 88% has allowed him to complete 1.8 dribbles each game, more than any of his colleagues have been able to.

For his efforts for Stoke, Haksabanovic received an excellent Sofascore rating of 7.33.

According to Celtic’s Premiership ratings this season, this is the highest score among his current team’s squad and would position him sixth overall, ahead of players like Callum McGregor and David Turnbull.

These numbers imply that Rodgers made a mistake by letting the talented winger leave this summer, as he could have made a great choice for the Northern Irish manager if given the chance to shine.

Yang, who was instead added to the team to bolster its wide range of alternatives, hasn’t been as successful at Parkhead this year as Haksabanovic has been in England.

Yang has managed how many assists so far this year?
The 21-year-old attacker joined the team from Gangwon FC during the summer transfer window, and in eight games for the Hoops, he has assisted one goal.

In six Premiership games, including three starts, he has an average Sofascore rating of 6.82 and has so far contributed with 0 goals and one assist.

The South Korean star has produced four chances for his teammates during that time, which equates to an average of 0.7 important passes per game as opposed to two for Stoke’s Haksabanovic.

Yang has also had trouble contributing in transition, averaging just 0.7 dribbles per game with a miserable success percentage of 33%. This indicates that when the young star is seeking to advance up the pitch, opposition defenders are taking the ball off him far too frequently.

His delayed adjustment to life in Scotland shouldn’t be that shocking considering the 21-year-old’s underwhelming performance for Gangwon this season.

Prior to his move to Celtic in 2023, he played in 20 K League 1 games and registered one goal and one assist for a Sofascore rating of 6.66.

According to this, Yang has struggled to create chances and outdribble opponents in his previous 28 league games this year. He has also contributed with one goal and two assists.

In contrast, Haksabanovic has six goals and two assists in 30 league appearances (11 starts) for Stoke and Celtic since the start of the previous campaign.

Rodgers erred greatly in the summer by failing to give the Montenegrin international the chance to start a few games and gauge his performance.

In contrast to Yang and his difficulties thus far, his performances for the Potters and his contributions in a limited number of minutes for the Hoops last season suggest that the potential was there for him to make a significant impression at the top end of the pitch.
