Ronan Maher, a midfielder for Walsall, has agreed to a new two-year contract with the League Two team.
After making his debut on the first day of the 2022–2023 season, the 20-year-old, who graduated from the Saddlers academy, has made 29 appearances for the first squad.

Before serving two separate loan stints in the National League with Tamworth, Maher played twice in League Two at the beginning of the previous season.
“Definitely this season I am ready to make my mark in the first team and make a real impact,” he stated, adding that the short-term changes were “really beneficial” to his growth.
Maher’s new contract comes after wing-back Courtney Clarke and defenders Harrison Burke and Mason Hancock were signed on permanent contracts this summer.
