A headache is approaching, and Brian Noble is impatient.

In recent months, injuries have limited the Bulls’ possibilities for selection.

However, Noble seems that those problems are abating as four players may be vying to play in Sunday’s trip to Barrow.

As the second-place team gets ready for a test in west Cumbria, Kieran Gill, Luke Hooley, Nathan Mason, and Bayley Liu are all back in the mix.

“It’s the best kind of headache,” stated head coach Noble.

“You never like to leave someone out, but it’s crucial to strike a balance, which is what we did. Everyone has participated.

For the Odsal victory over Batley, Gill was included in the 21-man roster; nevertheless, Noble acknowledged that the centre was not yet ready.

He wasn’t fit enough at the beginning. Although it is against our protocol, he attended our most recent training session.

He needs a week to recover, but he and Luke Hooley are both available for selection the following weekend.

There have been many moments this year when we have mixed and matched. I’ll be glad to see everyone again.

Regarding who is playing and who is not, as well as what they must accomplish to remain on the squad, it does generate some excitement and buzz among the players.

We’ll see how Nathan Mason trains over the week, but hopefully he’s near too. Having another large body to choose from would be beneficial.

Another is that Bayley Liu is also in good shape. Although Jorge Taufua is still out, it is positive that three or four people are likely to be considered.

“We simply need to select the appropriate team.”

Following Friday’s game, Konrad Hurrell’s two-week loan expired, therefore the Bulls will also be talking to St Helens about him.
