Alfie Devine, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, has been confirmed to join Preston North End on loan. The Tottenham Hotspur player is expected to play against QPR tomorrow.

The 21-year-old, who has previously played on loan at Westerlo, Plymouth Argyle, and Port Vale, is guaranteed a spot in Saturday’s first-day matchup against QPR.

An option-to-buy has been inserted in the agreement, with the fee understood to be a sizable seven-figure sum.

Devine is the 10th signing of the summer transfer window for PNE, and second loan recruit following the capture of AFC Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison.

He said, “I’m buzzing,” to iFollow PNE. When I initially learned about this possibility, I was thrilled. I’m glad to be here and to finish it. I am eager to start tomorrow. I enjoy getting people excited. I enjoy being on the ball. I enjoy getting folks out of their seats and getting involved in it all the time.

Manager Paul Heckingbottom spoke of his new No. 21: “Alfie is a gifted player who can play a variety of positions.” His versatility—which is excellent for us—allows him to play as an offensive midfielder, deep, and box-to-box.

“He demonstrated excellent energy and appetite off the ball, which is what we require, and I really liked his loan move in Belgium last year.” In the last third, he demonstrated his skill and technique to score goals and help others.
