Ryan Oné, a young player from Sheffield United, scored a goal over the weekend to commemorate his Lincoln City debut.
After making his debut with a goal in Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Home Park, Ryan Oné, a loanee from Sheffield United, was dubbed “a sensational talent” by Lincoln City head coach Michael Skubala.

Less than a week before the winter transfer window closed, the 19-year-old signed a loan deal with the League One promotion contenders for the remainder of the season.

After failing to make it off the bench in the Imps’ 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic on January 31, he was awarded his debut via the bench against Plymouth, coming on with just six minutes remaining.

He marked his bow for the club by scoring the Imps’ fourth goal of the afternoon deep into stoppage time, latching onto a long clearance, collecting the ball just past the halfway line, racing clear and slotting the ball past Argyle goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond.

Scoring his first goal since November 2024 in the process, Skubala was delighted with the immediate impact the Blades youngster had, praising him for keeping his cool and maintaining his composure to bury a chance everyone expected him to take

Lincoln boss hails Oné

“I really like the fact that all of our top line are chipping in,” said Skubala. “You only have to look at Ryan Oné today. He took that goal and that’s not easy.

“Running from your halfway line with all that time is not an easy finish. People think that’s easy because he’s in with the keeper, but I think he’s a sensational talent.

“When he came in, he worked hard.”

Lincoln are currently second in League One, two points behind league leaders Cardiff City and six clear of third-placed Bolton Wanderers, who will travel to the LNER Stadium this coming Saturday.

The Imps are unbeaten in their last 13 league games and have won each of their last four.
