Nobody knows for sure who the Tennessee Titans will select with their first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Cam Ward, the quarterback, appears to be the most likely pick, though, given their recent free agent acquisitions and huge turnout at the Miami Hurricanes’ Pro Day.

“Titans’ contingent at Miami’s pro day to see Cam Ward includes Chad Brinker, Mike Borgonzi, Reggie McKenzie, Dave Ziegler, Brian Callahan, Nick Holz and more,” reporter Paul Kuharsky tweeted on Monday.

Sending a contingent like that to the Miami Pro Day sends a message, at least about the interest that the Titans have in Cam Ward. Additionally, what the Titans have done in free agency this offseason seems to suggest that the organization is preparing to bring a new franchise QB on board.

By adding guards Blake Hance and Kevin Zeitler and offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr., Tennessee focused on bolstering its offensive line. They signed Van Jefferson to bolster their pass-catching corps as well.

Lastly, veteran quarterback Brandon Allen was also acquired by the Titans. Although it may appear that Will Levis will start again, this move actually means Ward will be selected first overall. This is because Allen, who previously served as head coach Brian Callahan with the Cincinnati Bengals, is probably more of a coach and mentor to a young, up-and-coming signal-caller than a real backup.

General manager Mike Borganzi declared that the Titans would not pass on a “generational talent” in that position after they secured the No. 1 pick. This made many people think that Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter would be chosen in this case. However, it appears that Tennessee believes Ward is that generational player, or at the very least, that a quarterback with promise is too good to pass up in the 2025 NFL Draft, as the draft draws near and analysts continue to read the Titans’ team departures.
