The day has arrived: Michigan State basketball has made its debut on the transfer portal. Kaleb Glenn, a Florida Atlantic wing, committed to the Spartans on Wednesday.

At six feet seven inches and 210 pounds, Glenn is the epitome of a small forward. Glenn, who was born in Louisville, Kentucky, attended La Lumiere in Indiana during his high school basketball career. He also played for the Indy Heat, an AAU basketball team, with MSU point man Jeremy Fears.

The portal prospect started his career at Louisville, before moving to FAU this past season. During this past season, Glenn scored 12.6 points and gathered 4.8 rebounds per game on average. Shooting the ball at 53.1% from the field, to go along with 41.0% from 3-point land and an effective field goal percentage of 61.4%, Glenn is the perfect piece for the Spartans puzzle.

For Tom Izzo and colleagues, Glenn is a fantastic first move that quickly meets one of their positional needs. The Spartans can now concentrate entirely on acquiring a backup point guard and a starter shooting guard.
