Logan Bayliss, a BRADFORD Bulls star, has signed a short-term loan agreement with another Betfred Championship team.

The 6′ 4″ towering prop has signed a two-week introductory contract with the Batley Bulldogs.

Last year, the Bulls acquired Bayliss from the Redcliffe Dolphins of the Queensland Cup.

Despite his Australian birth, he has played for Scotland, notably in the Rugby League World Cup in 2021.

BULLS welcomed popular homegrown prop Ebon Scurr back after six weeks out on Thursday night.

He was playing for the club’s reserves against their Leeds counterparts, having not featured in any capacity since picking up a leg injury in the first-team’s win over Batley on March 2.

Scurr’s fellow forwards Emmanuel Waine and Bayley Liu also played for Bradford in the game at Odsal, with both currently only on the fringes of the first team.

The former lined up in the back row while the latter played at centre.

Given that the team has not yet confirmed the extent of Kieran Gill’s knee injury sustained during Bulls’ victory over Sheffield last Sunday, Liu’s versatility may prove useful.

Bradford’s first team won’t play again until their away derby against Halifax, the Betfred Championship leaders, on Good Friday.

As for the reserves game on Thursday night, Leeds showed their Super League class, eventually overpowering Bulls to win 22-4 at Odsal.

Bulls’ try came courtesy of Jacob Bateman, who dived over to score after latching on to Sam Ackroyd’s grubber through.
