The72’s writers make their prediction for QPR vs Blackburn Rovers ahead of Saturday’s Championship fixture.
This Saturday, QPR welcome Blackburn Rovers to Loftus Road in what has become a crucial encounter for both sides.
Blackburn Rovers’s QPR fell into the bottom three with a 1-0 loss to Coventry City last weekend, followed by a 1-0 loss against Leeds United the following week.
Meanwhile, Blackburn Rovers have lost their last four games to drop to 20th position in the Championship table, just two points ahead of QPR, with their most recent result being a 1-0 loss at Coventry in the week.
Here are some of our writers’ predictions for the game…
Phelps, Luke
“What a massive game this is. Both teams are under pressure and striving for victories; while I expected QPR to struggle, I didn’t expect Rovers to.
“They still have a good set of players and a very good coach in Tomasson, and this could be a much-needed away win against a QPR side that can’t buy a win at home right now.”
That’s where I’m going with this. I predict Rovers to win by a single goal.”
Prediction for QPR vs. Blackburn Rovers: 1-2
Ray, James
“This is a difficult one to call because QPR have struggled at home and Blackburn Rovers have struggled on the road.” Both teams are in poor form generally, but this is a difficult game to call.
“We’ve seen glimpses of what Ainsworth’s side is capable of, but not quite enough. This game is theirs to lose, thus they should take it to Rovers. The visitors certainly have the advantage in overall squad quality, so they should see this as a wonderful opportunity to secure an away win.
