Dom Hyam will remain with Blackburn Rovers until 2026 after the club confirmed that his contract option has been activated.
Following Rovers’ decision to extend his contract, The Lancashire Telegraph revealed last month that the 29-year-old would remain with the team. Although his contract expired in 2025, the club kept a one-year option.

This comes after it was announced that Yuri Ribeiro had inked a contract with an option that would go until 2027. Although Ryan Hedges’ contract expires in 2025, the club has the option to extend it by an additional year.
Tyrhys Dolan, Andi Weimann, Danny Batth, and Adam Forshaw are the only four players who must enter into new contracts or they will depart the team in the summer. A clause in his contract, which he signed when he joined the club from Coventry City in August 2022, has now been activated, keeping him at Ewood Park until June 2026.”
Hyam has made 124 appearances in Rovers colours over the last three seasons, tallying three goals. In his debut season at Ewood Park, he was named the club’s Player of the Year.
“He has played every minute of every Championship fixture for Rovers this season and scored the winning goal in the reverse fixture against tonight’s opponents Middlesbrough when the two teams met at the Riverside back in November.”
