Eustace declined to sign Blackburn’s top-tier diamond, and Blackburn wants a good deal.

According to sources, Blackburn Rovers, who still have a slim chance of qualifying for the Championship playoffs, may try to lure a gifted young player to Ewood Park this summer.

Blackburn Rovers look to force way into playoff picture.

Another thrilling season in England’s second division is coming to an end. If they can maintain their performance throughout the run-in, Valerien Ismael still has a chance to include his team in the discussion. A lone goal from Yuki Ohashi helped ten-man Blackburn Rovers defeat Luton Town away from home last weekend, condemning the Hatters to the relegation zone.

More significantly, in a season overshadowed by John Eustace’s unexpected move to Derby County, Rovers maintained their chances of earning an unlikely promotion. There is a lot of excitement at Ewood Park, and a home game against Millwall has all the makings of a six-pointer that might decide if either team wins at the crucial moment.

For any of the chasing pack, Premier League football could be a game-changer, and it would have a significant effect on summer transfer business. Adam Berry, a young player from Nottingham Forest, may be moving to Blackburn if they are able to defeat Norwich City and sign him.

Sheffield United (A) Bramall Lane

Another cheap target for Rovers manager Ismael is Bobby Wales, a striker for Kilmarnock. After the season ends, his contract at Rugby Park will expire. They might now cast their name in the ring for yet another talented gem, but Blackburn seems to be prioritising inexpensive acquisitions due to their financial position.

Blackburn Rovers line up bargain deal for Harrison Armstrong.

The Sun claims that Blackburn is eager to buy Harrison Armstrong, a young player from Everton, this summer after his productive loan at Derby County, another Championship team. Naturally, Rams manager Eustace is unpopular with fans after his contentious departure and just switched from Ewood Park to Pride Park.

According to the publication, Eustace had the chance to sign Armstrong before he moved to Derby, but he declined. He chose to go after more seasoned targets instead. Blackburn wants to sign the Finch Farm graduate because they have since changed their mind and now want younger players on loans or cheap agreements.

Leighton Baines has called Armstrong “brilliant” despite the fact that he has only scored one goal in 11 games while on loan at Derby. He made an impression for Everton at the same time, having started the FA Cup match against Peterborough United earlier in the season.

Remarkably, the young player has only been sent off three times while playing in the Championship, demonstrating his poise when in possession while playing for a team that hasn’t been able to hold onto their league standing.

When the summer transfer market opens, Blackburn is preparing a possible deal for Armstrong in an attempt to outdo their former manager. It is unclear, though, if there will be any additional interest in his skills from other sources.
