According to a recent rumour, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are now vying for Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva before the summer transfer market opens.

Silva’s contract at the Etihad Stadium expires at the conclusion of the current campaign, and there are currently no signs that he and club management are in negotiations to extend it.

Since joining Manchester City from AS Monaco for £43 million in 2017, the Portugal international has been one of Pep Guardiola’s most successful acquisitions at the Etihad Stadium, leading the team to several victories on the home, European, and international stages.

Silva will be out of contract at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, with no indication at present of talks between the 31-year-old and club bosses over a renewal.
