Brown, who will now face his former manager this Saturday, was a dependable leader on the pitch for Lennon at Celtic.

As he gets ready for a confrontation with his former boss in the dugout, Scott Brown is adamant that he will block out the noise.

This Saturday, Ayr hosts Dunfermline, and the Fifers are depending on Neil Lennon’s appointment to keep them afloat.

Brown knows the qualities of his former Celtic gaffer better than anyone and expects the Pars to arrive at Somerset with their tails up.

An Ayrshire-wide forum to support tackling social isolation and loneliness could be created after a roundtable discussion on the topic last week.

Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock MP Elaine Stewart hosted the discussion with the Belonging Forum and community groups from across her constituency on Friday, March 21.

The Belonging Forum is an organisation which aims to understand the crisis of social isolation and loneliness and connect people and partners to create real and practical solutions.

Yipworld, 9CC Group, Coalfields Regeneration Trust, New Cumnock Development Trust, The Nest Wellbeing Group, The Carrick Centre, Ayrshire College, Carol Mochan MSP, the Bellsbank Project, South Ayrshire Ageing Well, and others were among the attendees of the event, which was held at Ochiltree Community Hub.

A full and frank discussion was held and Ms Stewart has committed to exploring an Ayrshire-wide forum to help community groups share best practice to tackle social isolation and loneliness.

Speaking exclusively to Ayrshire Live, Ms Stewart said: “Today, we had a roundtable with the belonging forum to speak about social isolation and loneliness in our communities.

“I think it went very well. I think all the groups that were there were very representative of the local communities here and I think everybody opened up and spoke well.

“I believe that an Ayrshire-wide forum would be well received by the public. I’ll send out an email to gain the appropriate consensus, but I believe it would be beneficial for other community organisations to know what’s going on in Ayr, Carrick, and Cumnock, and we could probably expand it.

“The fact that people lack opportunities was shown today. Our young people need jobs to prevent them from relocating to the east coast, and without them, they won’t feel like they belong.

“When people come together, they can make a big difference in their communities. That showed today with the amount of people that stood up and spoke about what they were doing within their local community.”
