John Cartwright, the manager of Hull FC, is thrilled with Will Pryce’s adaptation to life at the MKM Stadium. Since joining the Black and Whites from Newcastle Knights at the beginning of the month, Pryce has made three appearances.
Of those outings, two have been Hull derbies, with Pryce being thrown straight in at the deep end with the two of the most intense and passionate games he is likely to play all season for the club. However, the playmaker, who has taken on the full-back role over the last couple of matches, has had his moments in those games, too, with his pace and ability to exploit a gap being showcased early.
He’ll hope to continue improving as settles in at the west Hull outfit, but Cartwright certainly likes what he sees so far.

“I thought he was brilliant again today,” Cartwright said after the Good Friday derby. “He just challenges the opposition.
“I thought defensively he was really strong, they targeted him on goalline a few times and he had to defend in the line. He had some big boys charging at him and he saved some tries and he was all over the field in attack.
“He commands a lot of attention from the defence, he’s a handful, you take your eyes off him and he’s gone. I said it last week, it’s a major signing for the club and at his age and the ability he has he’s going to be a very good player for a long period of time.”
John Cartwright makes Hull FC ‘nothing better’ comment
On his side as a whole, who pulled together and made life difficult for the Robins on Friday despite being a man down, the Hull FC boss added: “There’s nothing better as a coach to watch a team that just never gives up and eight games in, that’s what we’ve seen.
