When Gregor Townsend’s team travels to Fiji this Saturday in an attempt to win the Skyscanner Pacific Tour for the second time in a row, Rory Darge will lead out a Scotland squad that includes 11 Glasgow Warriors in Suva.

Townsend’s team got off to a strong start on their trip when they defeated the Maori All Blacks 29–26, which was Scotland’s first-ever 15-a-side victory over a representative team from New Zealand. They now play a Fijian team who came within 90 seconds of defeating Australia last Sunday.

Darge leads the side for the first time on tour, having been named as the tour captain by Townsend and his coaching staff ahead of the summer Tests.

The openside is joined in the back-row by Matt Fagerson, the number eight set for his first run-out since suffering an ankle injury in April’s Investec Champions Cup defeat to Leinster in Dublin.

Rory Sutherland comes into the starting XV to line up at loose-head prop, with the 2021 British & Irish Lion having sat out the victory over the Maori All Blacks last weekend.

Behind the scrum, Jamie Dobie starts at scrum-half after being at the heart of Scotland’s final defensive set in Whangarei last weekend, winning his 13th cap in the dark blue jersey.

Kyle Steyn lines up on the wing for his first Scotland appearance since last summer’s tour of the Americas, serving as one of Darge’s two vice-captains for Saturday’s clash.

Following an outstanding season in the back three while wearing Glasgow’s colours, Kyle Rowe is chosen at full-back.

Max Williamson, the second-rower who kept the number 19 shirt from last Saturday’s victory, is the only Glasgow forward chosen among the replacements.

After crossing for two tries last weekend, scrum-half George Horne, who impressed with his pace of service in Whangarei, is moved to the bench.
