Stuart Kettlewell is certain that his new striker will make an immediate impact.
Along with seasoned midfielder Tom Lowery, the Killie manager welcomed Djenairo Daniels today.
Daniels joins from Cork City on a two-year deal after an undisclosed agreement between the sides, pending SFA approval.
Speaking to Killie’s media team, Daniels said: “I’m very happy to be here. I couldn’t wait until everything was done, I’m finally here now, so I’m happy about that.
“The decision was very quick, because it’s a big stage, a big opportunity for me and my career. That was the decision I had to make for myself, and it was the best I am sure.”
On manager Stuart Kettlewell, Daniels said: “The chats with him were positive. He talked about how he wanted to play and what his plans were, and that I would fit perfectly in his plans. His ambitions match mine so that is what I want.”
Manager Stuart Kettlewell said: “Djenairo is one that we’ve been aware of for a while and his qualities are clear to see.
“He’s been playing consistently recently and we’re confident he will come in and hit the ground running, and that he can add to the quality we already have in the squad.
“He is joining the team today, and we are excited to collaborate with him.”
Prior to his tenure at Portsmouth, the 27-year-old made his reputation with Crewe Alexandra. He now joins Rugby Park on a two-year contract, subject to SFA approval.

Regarding the relocation, Lowery stated: “I’m eager to finish this. Kilmarnock is a huge team with lofty goals, and I am eager to get started and prove myself to the supporters. I’m prepared to start.”
“I’ve long admired Tom as a player,” stated manager Stuart Kettlewell. He works hard off the ball, has excellent technique, and exudes enthusiasm in the middle of the park. He will, in my opinion, enhance what we currently have and give our midfield choices more depth and quality.
