Marcus Dackers, who is 6′ 7″, has joined Kilmarnock, strengthening their front line.

The 22-year-old, who was previously at Salford City, is joining on a one-year contract. The towering forward only scored once in 39 games while on loan at Morecame last season, which led to the Shrimps’ relegation from the English Football League.

Speaking to the club website, Dackers said: “I am really happy to be here, it’s my first time in Scotland playing football. I spoke to the manager a few days ago and after that I just wanted to get the deal done.

“I’ve been on a lot of loans now and it feels like a new chapter in my career, it’s a good opportunity for me and I think it’s the right move for me at this point in my career.

Manager Stuart Kettlewell added: “Marcus is an exciting one that we are delighted to get over the line.

“His height will be a obvious advantage, but he brings much more than that and I’m confident he can complement our squad. We look forward to getting to work with Marcus from today.
