According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Huddersfield Town’s £1.5 million offer for Leyton Orient star Ethan Galbraith was turned down.

After rising through the ranks at Manchester United, Galbraith had a fantastic 2024–25 season with Leyton Orient, leading the team to the League One play-off final before losing to Charlton.

The 24-year-old’s versatility for Orient, featuring mostly at right back and in various midfield roles, has brought him to the attention of a number of clubs, including Huddersfield, Charlton Athletic and Swansea City.

Orient have now rejected offers from all three clubs for the Northern Ireland international.

Huddersfield see £1.5m bid rejected

The Brisbane Road outfit face a battle to keep hold of their prize asset after failing to win promotion and with the player entering the final year of his contract.

Huddersfield will be chasing promotion to the Championship next term, while a move to Charlton or Swansea would offer Galbraith an instant chance to play second-tier football.

During the 2024–25 season, he made 51 appearances in all competitions, recording eight assists and six goals.

After making an impression while on loan at Salford City, the four-cap Northern Ireland player signed a free move to Leyton Orient in 2023.

He has previously played 111 times in League One but has yet to play in the Championship or Premier League after making his only Man United outing in the Europa League.
