The winter transfer deadline officially passed at 11pm on Monday evening, with Rangers making four new signings.

Ryan Naderi was Rangers’ final signing of the window, allowing Danilo to seal a move to NEC Nijmegen as Danny Rohl re-jigged his attacking options.

So, Rangers will now feel they’ve got enough quality to go on and win the Premiership title this season, but Rohl could still make some further moves if he wishes.

Rangers already look set to take advantage of that, with Mason Munn recalled from his loan with Dunfermline Athletic on Thursday.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper had featured eight times for the Championship outfit this season, but his last appearance came on 25 October 2025, in Dunfermline’s 3-2 defeat to Ross County.

Having started the season as Neil Lennon’s first-choice goalkeeper, the teenager wasn’t able to retain that spot for long, and has now returned to Ibrox and is sure to be a candidate for another loan move before the end of the month.

And, speaking via Dunfermline’s official website, Lennon doesn’t appear to be too disheartened over Munn‘s recall, and hopes that he can use the experience to help him become a better player in the future.

“He is a young goalkeeper, it was his first loan, there was going to be highs and lows,” Lennon said.

“I hope he’s learned something from the experience and it’ll stand him in good stead. I’m sure he’ll want to go out and play again.

“For us, it was probably best to let him go back because he’s third choice at the minute. We may have to bring another goalkeeper in, we’re just working away on that in the background.”

Lennon was delighted to sign Munn

A Northern Ireland youth international, Munn is tipped to have a big future at Rangers, as he potentially looks to position himself to be ready to claim the starting role at Ibrox in a few years’ time.

Indeed, Jack Butland is already 32, and has come in for a steady amount of criticism this season for his tendency to make mistakes, despite the fact he’s kept 11 clean sheets in 25 Premiership games.

So, there is likely to be a competition taking place for the starting jersey in between the sticks at Ibrox in the near future, and Munn could be a big player in that.

And, speaking via The Courier in July last year, Lennon raved about Munn’s ability and potential, evidently feeling as though he has the tools to become a top keeper in the coming years.

“He’s very good, he’s got good size and he’s a good shot-stopper. He is very talented, and he needs to play,” Lennon said at the time.

“I like his size. We’ve worked with big goalkeepers before, and sometimes they make saves other goalkeepers can’t make.”

Unfortunately for Munn, the move did not work out as planned. Now back at Ibrox, the hope is that he will learn from the experience and become a better goalkeeper from it.
