A game-changing summer transfer window is in store for Nottingham Forest.

Nuno Espirito Santo needs a significantly larger team to handle the extra games next season because European football is imminent.

Mateus Fernandes of Southampton is thought to be on Forest’s list of objectives, which Espirito Santo has created.

Evanilson, a center-forward for Bournemouth, is also being connected to the City Ground, but considering the price it would cost to move him away from the south coast team, that deal appears doubtful.

It has recently been revealed that Nottingham Forest has expressed interest in one of the nation’s most promising strikers.

Nottingham Forest have officially registered their interest in Liam Delap

According to the Telegraph, Nottingham Forest has formally expressed interest in Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who is considered “one of the best strikers in the Premier League” (per the Guardian), and will be available for about £30 million after Ipswich’s relegation, which has alerted several clubs. Delap has scored 12 goals in the Premier League, and Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United have all been monitoring his situation. Nottingham Forest wants to add another striker to help Chris Wood next season.

There is an acceptance at the City Ground that Delap will be incredibly difficult to sign, however, chiefs believe he’s perfect for Espirito Santo’s system.

Yoane Wissa remains on Forest’s radar

If Forest are unable to sign Delap this summer, it seems they could reignite their interest in Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.

The club is reportedly considering making another approach for Wissa if the Bees’ asking price is fair.

In January, Forest attempted to sign Wissa, but due to his £40 million price tag, the deal finally fell through.

Additionally, according to The Telegraph, Forest has scouted forwards in Germany and France.
