Jordan Shipley, a midfielder for Shrewsbury Town, has agreed to a two-year contract with League One newcomers Port Vale.

After 125 appearances since arriving in 2022, Shipley’s contract with Salop came to an end.

Before joining the Shropshire team, the 27-year-old received two promotions with Coventry City, including one that helped the Sky Blues win the Championship in 2020.

Port Vale manager Darren Moore stated on the team’s website, “Jordan’s signing represents another really strong addition to the squad and we’re all pleased to have him on board.”

“He’s another player that has played regularly at this level and above, so I have no doubt he will strengthen us and we’ll look forward to welcoming him to Vale Park when the players return for pre-season training.”
