Josh Griffin, who has been playing well, will be leaving Wakefield Trinity at the conclusion of the season, according to head coach Daryl Powell.

With some of Wakefield’s well-known players sitting on the sidelines, Griffin has emerged as one of their main forwards in recent weeks.

Additionally, shortly before halftime in Trinity’s 16–10 victory over Wigan Warriors, the center-turned-second-row dotted down for a crucial try.

Powell did, however, disclose at his post-game press conference following the victory that the 35-year-old will leave the DIY Kitchens Stadium at the conclusion of the current season.

Powell stated: “I’ll let him tell you what he’s doing and will be doing, but he won’t be here, he’ll be doing other things.”

“He won’t be here next year, he will be somewhere else.”
