Lewis Hamilton claims he believes his vehicle has a defect that Charles Leclerc’s sister Ferrari does not have.
It is well known that both Ferrari drivers are eager to address a problem with the 2025 machine’s present specifications by implementing a floor update as soon as possible.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, “the floor is ready for Bahrain, but (Loic) Serra and (Frederic) Vasseur would like to wait.”
According to reports, they are debating behind closed doors that comprehending the current specification in its entirety should be the first objective. Paolo Filisetti, the technical editor, stated that the decision would be made by Thursday.

However, Hamilton implies that his current pace disadvantage against Leclerc is a distinct problem. The seven-time world champion stated, “I’m losing a little over a tenth per lap with this problem.”
Hamilton went on to say, “There has been a slight deficit between both sides of the garage in one aspect of the car in the first three races.” Even though the team is unsure of the cause, it’s still helpful to know.
The 40-year-old stated, “Hopefully, when a new part arrives, it will vanish and be the same on both cars.”
Christijan Albers, a former Formula One driver, claims that the performance difference between Leclerc and Hamilton has been unexpected thus far. After the Japanese Grand Prix, he told De Telegraaf, “Hamilton drove a hopeless race.”

“I had much higher expectations of him.”
Vasseur, the team’s manager, believes that the difference between Hamilton and Leclerc is more a result of setup. “Therefore, the balance is tied to their (setup) choices,” he stated.
“We’re still investigating the new vehicle and are adjusting our strategies to suit the drivers. Since we spent three days in Bahrain last month, I believe the scenario there will be different.
But the 2025 world championship is already causing concern among the Italian press.
“Barcelona is the watershed weekend,” the newspaper La Repubblica said. “We can either develop the car for 2026 or fight for the victory there.”
